Maintained Schools must publish information on governance arrangements as outlined in governing bodies of maintained schools statutory guidance.
The information below (and linked web pages) sets out governance arrangements at The Rissington School - please select the current year for the most up to date information.
The Full Governing Board retains responsibility for Vision and Budget setting, although detailed work is carried out at committee level.
Staff appraisal and pay award recommendations have been delegated to committee level but the Full Governing Board retains responsibility for the approval of pay awards.
To help ensure the efficient use of Full Governing Board time and resources, some other functions have been delegated to either committee level, individual governors or the headteacher.
Full details of these arrangements are set out in The Rissington School Delegation planner.
In addition, all committee and individual governor responsibilities established by the Full Governing Board have Terms of Reference. These Terms of Reference detail the delegated functions and decision making.
Terms of Reference can be found on the following web pages:
- Teaching and Learning (T&L)
- Finance, Premises and Personnel (FP&P)
- Pay and Performance*
- Complaints*
- Dismissal and Disciplinary*
- Dismissal and Disciplinary Appeals*

- Site Strategy*
* These committees meet as and when required.
